About The Artist:

Hello! I'm Melissa the artist/crafter behind Oshen Zen art and jewelry.

I've always loved creating with my hands and trying out new mediums. When I came across fluid painting with medium and resin, I felt like I had met my match. The physics, fluidity and timing of working with such mediums provided new challenges and so much possibility. 

Giving back:

Sharing my creations with others is one of the best feelings and energizes me to help out with a cause I deeply care about.

I'm reminded everyday of humans’ overuse of plastic and how it so easily ends up everywhere it doesn't belong and creates a lot of problems for wildlife. Since I live on the beach I felt like I could save plastic on our coastline from ending up in the Ocean by doing regular beach cleanups. Who knows maybe if folks see more people picking up trash from roads and beaches they might be inspired to do the same!
